Right-Wingers Hate Wanda’s Jokes
I knew as I watched the video of Wanda Sykes (pictured) telling jokes at the White House Correspondents dinner that right-wing commentators (including Christopher Hitchens, who on issues of war counts as a right-winger) would take to the airwaves and cry foul. And, once again, they showed their predictability by rising to the bait. They were especially irate that Sykes, who can be irritating as hell but also very funny, joked that Rush Limbaugh was the 20th hijacker on 9/11 but missed the plane because he was so strung out on Oxycontin. Frankly, if you took all the offensive things Rush Limbaugh has said over the years and compared them to all the offensive things Sykes has said, there would be no contest: Limbaugh wins in a walk. All the right-wing outrage once again shows what sissies these radio commentators are, not too mention how humorless. Jon Stewart last night rightly called them on this. (Video here.)
