Unwell Domingo Leaves Early
Operatic Tenor Placido Domingo (pictured) left mid-performance at the Tuesday evening production of “Die Walkure” at the Metropolitan Opera House, where he was playing the role of Siegmund. A pre-show announcement prepared the audience and Gary Lehman took over for the part without a hitch about 40 minutes into the show. The Met said Domingo had ‘recovered and was traveling to Paris to prepare for “Cyrano de Bergerac”.’Â Well wishes to one of the great artists in opera.
