Jenny Is Oprah’s Next Creation
Oprah made bigger stars of Dr. Phil and Rachael Ray, so no one can be surprised that she’s hoisting another personality of questionable talent to the top: Jenny McCarthy (pictured). She’s just inked a multi-year deal with Harpo Productions, and Oprah will help the actress and former model launch her own talk show. McCarthy has regularly blogged for Oprah’s website, and appeared on her show several times to discuss her son’s autism. I don’t think much of McCarthy’s show-biz chops, but her activism on behalf of autism has been extremely admirable and courageous.
