Glee Clubs No Longer Geeky
College glee clubs and a cappella organizations of the like are a far cry from the home for dweebs they used to be. Shows like “Glee”(pictured), and “The Sing-Off” are about to capitalize on the rise in popularity of the activity which the NY Daily News describes as being ‘the hottest thing on college campuses since hazing’. I love a cappella groups and remember fondly when a group from Ithaca College performed at my high school. Already then, a mere 6-8 years ago, I had the sense that these kids were totally cool because they wore cool clothes and used just their voices to make pop songs. Clearly then, a cappella was cool, or I was denying my geekiness.
