“Next To Normal” Update
I can see that the fanatics for the new Broadway musical “Next To Normal” are already pitching the Best Musical/Tony race as David (their show) versus Goliath (“Billy Elliot“). We’ll have more information when the season’s awards start being announced in a couple of weeks. All I’ll say right now is that “Billy” got more uniformly rave reviews than “Next To Normal” did. Of the 15 major reviewers, “Billy” got 13 positive reviews. From those writers, “Normal” has gotten eight.
