Kal Penn Goes To White House
Kal Penn (pictured) may play quintessential stoner Kumar in the “Harold and Kumar” movies, but in real life he’s an exceedingly engaging, highly intelligent person. So it’s good news to hear that he’s going to apply some of that intelligence by moving from acting in the TV show “House” (where he was killed off on last night’s episode) to a job as associate director in the White House’s Office of Public Liaison. I’m wondering whether the move to D.C. will allow Penn to be a little more relaxed about his private life, or whether he’ll follow the lead of so many politicians and shut the door even tighter. Hope not.
