“Spiderman” Going For Unknowns
At first it seemed as if for “Spiderman” director Julie Taymor wanted semi-known performers — namely Evan Rachel Wood and Jim Sturgess (pictured), who were so twinkly in Taymor’s movie “Across the Universe” — for the astromically expensive Broadway rock ‘n’ roll circus known as “Spiderman.” (Music by Bono, in case you’ve been sleeping for a century.) Now it appears that Taymor is going to go the route of the unknowns. $40 million for the show and they want to save on salaries?
