Natasha Richardson Death Watch
I realize that various reports are saying that prospects are grim for Natasha Richardson, who suffered a skiing accident in Canada on Monday. But the media death watch that is currently outside Lenox Hill Hospital on the Upper East Side of Manhattan is truly ghoulish. (The Internet is awash in images like this picture of Vanessa Redgrave, Richardson’s mother, shown entering the hospital.) And some entertainment writers have already posted pieces that read like straight obituary. No chance for forbearance here, I guess. This is all unbelievably sad.
