Cocktail Service Comes To B’way
Have you ever noticed that theatre audiences are quicker to laugh at bad jokes in the second act? The booze they imbibe during intermission has something to do with it, n’est-ce pas? The new Broadway musical, “Rock of Ages (pictured),” apparently worried that it can’t compete with “Billy Elliot” and “West Side Story,” is going one better: cocktail service in the seats. Since the show is devoted to 1980s rock ‘n’ roll, why not nitrous oxide? That’d have them rolling in the aisles.
