Artists, Poor; Kanye, Not
No surprise: American artists, in all fields, have been hit hard by the recession. Being an artist has never been easy; these days, it requires three day jobs. So I don’t think many creative types will be springing for Kanye West’s new line of sneakers. The rapper’s upcoming shoe series, Kanye West for Louis Vutton, will start retailing at $840 – with some pairs of the over-embellished sneaks reaching over a thousand dollars. I guess pornography of all kinds still has a market.
