The 25 Best Biopics
I admit it: I’m a sucker for a biopic. Even bad ones, even ones that originate on Lifetime. And I have a professional interest: as an Academy Awards freak I have a duty to chart this genre, since it yields so many Oscars. I’m not sure I agree with this list (I wouldn’t put “Walk the Line” anywhere, not even at No. 25), but it’s certainly comprehensive, even including the recent “Cadillac Records,” starring Beyonce (pictured) as Etta “How Dare She Sing My Song?” James.
