So Long K-Rock, Again
New York’s most beloved rock radio station, 92.3 WXRK ‘K-Rock’ will officially go off the air, finally this time, on Wednesday, March 11 at 5 pm, to be replaced by Top 40 station WNOW, according to Rolling Stone. The show has been canned a couple of times since 2004, but with a significant ratings drop this last quarter, the plug has been pulled and fans of the station must turn elsewhere for their rock and leave behind fond memories of Opie & Anthony and the always infamous Howard Stern Show. I have no rock quote adequate to send them off, so farewell K-Rock, RIP.
