“Star Wars: A Musical Journey”
As we alluded to back in December, George Lucas will be premiering his “Star Wars: A Musical Journey”, a 90-minute theatrical experience that captures key scenes from the films paired with a very much condensed arrangement of John Williams’ epic score. The show will play at London’s O2 Arena on April 10, according to the London Times. Despite speculation, the experience will not feature actors singing fabricated and phony attempts at musical theater gold like “Don’t Cry For Me, R2-D2” but will still use both live actors and cinematic scenes. With the availability of space on Broadway and the lack of new shows to open in them, don’t be surprised to see “Star Wars” later in the season.
