Will She Perform At The Oscars?
Having held off just long enough so its mom could perform on Grammy night, the baby of singer M.I.A. (pictured) has arrived. Two independent sources have told Hitfix that the U.K. singer has given birth, although it’s unknown whether the child is a boy or girl. Next on M.I.A.’s agenda? She is scheduled to perform a week from Sunday at the Oscars, where she is nominated for best song, “O Saya,” from “Slumdog,” but it’s unclear if she’ll keep the commitment. Hell, if she’s hardy enough to perform nine months pregnant, she can perform nine days after the birth!
