“Slumdog” Parents Want The Cash
The two children who starred in “Slumdog Millionaire” won’t be going to the Oscars next weekend. Their parents, who have made a series of complaints about their slum-dwelling children being exploited and underpaid by the film-makers, allegedly withdrew their permission for them to travel to Los Angeles with other cast members next week and asked for the air fares to be paid to them instead in cash. I hope the tickets were first-class.
