Contemporary Art In The W. H.?
President Obama’s stimulus package rudely eliminated support for the arts. But at least he and the First Lady may have some fresh ideas for art in the White House: decidedly contemporary, according to this report. Andres Serrano? Francis Bacon? Chris Ofili? Doubtful. More likely the artists will be living, American, and whose work is preferably abstract or recognizably figurative, so there will be no squawking about subject matter.
