Spielberg “Lincoln” Finally To Shoot?
Blogger Jeffrey Wells reports that playwright Tony Kushner, who’s been laboring on a script for Steven Spielberg’s “Lincoln” movie for a very long time, yesterday took part in a discussion at Harvard where he said that a studio decision on the film will be made next week. Kushner also said that if the project is green-lit that it will be “out by Christmas” and that the story now covers only two months of Lincoln’s life. Kushner added that the 13th amendment — passed after Lincoln’s death and involving the abolition of slavery and involuntary servitude — “is a big thing in the movie.” Liam Neeson is still set to star as Honest Abe.
