Oscars: Change We Can Believe In?
The most I’m hoping this year from the Oscars telecast, set for February 22, is that Hugh Jackman (left) will do a production number or two. As for the “major changes” that the show’s producers, Laurence Marks and Bill Condon, have promised, I’m skeptical. No matter how they slice and dice the format, they still have to hand out 24 awards within three hours. Meanwhile, this writer has come up with “Five Oscar Night Surprises We’d Like To See.” One of them: a bathroom cam featuring actors like Jack Nicholson (right).
