“Cage,” “August” Lead Olivier Noms
A revival of the Jerry Herman musical “La Cage aux Folles” and the Broadway transfer of “August: Osage County” received massive attention in the nominations, announced today, of Britain’s prestigious Olivier awards. The main competition for “August” — whose Deanna Dunagan (pictured) got a nod — will be that brilliant production of “Black Watch,” with all the Scottish soldiers. Winners will be announced March 8.
