Given the fact that we most emphatically do not live in a “post-racial” world, I’m surprised how long it took for this topic to make it into the mainstream media. But I’m not surprised who the purveyor of the information is — not to mention his source, or should I say the “source,” since it’s a classic, supermarket-tabloid “the hairdresser of my best friend’s sister told me” kind of thing.
