“Mysteries of Pittsburgh” Bought
Michael Chabon (pictured) is one of my favorite contemporary American authors, and I’m waiting for the day when somebody (at one point it was supposed to be Stephen Daldry) decides to film his novel “Kavalier and Klay.” Until then, I’m buoyed by the fact that the film version of Chabon’s 1988 debut fiction, “The Mysteries of Pittsburgh,” has just been picked up for release. Although the screen adaptation has de-gayed the book a bit (see this review), it seems to have retained enough of Chabon’s flavor to be worth watching.
