Springsteen: Bush “A Nightmare”
The only American standing in a spotlight as blinding as Barack Obama’s right now is Bruce Springsteen. The Boss has a new album about to drop, will perform at the Super Bowl imminently, and Obama himself said, with almost a straight face, that he only ran for President because he “could not be Bruce Springsteen.” While Springsteen’s politics are not a secret, he has now given a rare interview, to Observer Music Monthly. In it, he says, of the Bush Administration: “This was a very radical group of people who pushed things in a very radical direction, had great success in moving things in that direction, and we are suffering the consequences.”
