Golden Globes: A Summary
Maggie Gyllenhaal had the weirdest dress, Ricky Gervais and Tracy Morgan had the wittiest bits, “John Adams” and HBO were the biggest winners, Kate Winslet entered the record books, and I’m choosing to see Heath Ledger’s win (he’s pictured) not only as a posthumous tribute but as partial recompense for being overlooked for a perfect performance in “Brokeback Mountain.” Neither the Hollywood Foreign Press nor the Motion Picture Academy likes to honor gay characters who are butch.
