So which app sits proudly on top of the Christmas hit parade? Step forward iFart Mobile, a virtual whoopee cushion. People’s love of scatological humour ensured a very merry Christmas for the iFart developer Joel Comm. VentureBeat reports that Christmas Day saw 38,927 downloads of the app, making his InfoMedia company nearly $30,000 in one day — from a $0.99 fart app. In other words, thousands of people got an iPhone or iPod Touch as a present and immediately decided to put all that shiny technology to the test with a “fart machine for all ages.”
