Hugh Jackman Back on Broadway?
Is People’s Sexiest Man Alive, Hugh Jackman, finally returning to Broadway? That’s what the reports are on the Rialto. Jackman’s vehicle? A musical about escape artist Harry Houdini. The project — with music by Danny Elfman, a script by Kurt Andersen, and direction by Jack O’Brien — has long been rumored. But it was only this week that Jackman, in New York to promote his new flick “Australia,” seem to confirm the reports that he’ll be the star. The musical will probably open in spring of 2010.
