Tough Times for California Arts
The recession has been brutal on fundraising for arts institutions all over the place, but reports this week suggest that it is having an especially siphoning effect in California. Now we learn that Los Angeles’s wonderful Museum of Contemporary Art (MOCA) is in crisis. All this plus wildfires and earthquakes? Not fair.
