“Dark Knight” Nears $1 Billion
According to website boxofficemojo.com, this year’s Batman opus, “The Dark Knight,” is currently at worldwide box office of $997,640,736. It will cross the $1 billion mark any minute. That’s a nice round number, which should help propel the movie into a Best Picture Academy Award nomination and increase the chances that it will be rewarded with a Best Supporting Actor statuette to Heath Ledger (pictured).
