“The View” Hits No. 1 in Daytime
I guess they didn’t need Rosie O’Donnell after all. After a dozen years on the air, “The View” has become the most watched show in daytime. Of course, it was helped by the election, by Joy Behar’s ballsy grilling of John McCain and the daily skirmishes between Joy/Whoopi and Miss E. Hasselbeck. But I have to say that those catfights are of less and less interest to me; too often, they have a canned “Crossfire” quality. And too often Hassel-girl, and sometimes Joy, are allowed to spew factually inaccurate information that the show never bothers to correct.
