Jack-Kid/Man Get Happy Ending
The sad ending of “Australia,” a new movie epic starring Nicole Kidman and Hugh Jackman (pictured), tested poorly with American test audiences. So the final version, to be released Thanksgiving week, will have a happy ending. There hasn’t been such a stoopid idea since Ted Turner colorized classics in the 1980s. Here are some other flicks that the “Australia” scissorhands could jolly up while they’re at it: “Schindler’s List,” “Brokeback Mountain,” “The Wild Bunch,” “Hamlet” (all versions), “Lawrence of Arabia,” “Midnight Cowboy,” and “The Godfather.”
