Obama’s Pop-Culture Favorites
It’s worth reminding: the President-elect’s taste in entertainment is very conventional — “MASH,” Sinatra (pictured), “The Dick Van Dyke Show.” And his affection for the music of Jay-Z? Please: at this point that’s about as fresh as watching “Two and a Half Men.” The only original pop-culture preference I ever heard him utter was when he said he was fascinated by the homo thug character Omar in “The Wire.” Otherwise: it’s going to be All Stevie Wonder All The Time in the White House.
