At Last: Voting Day Arrives!
I voted this morning on the Upper West Side of Manhattan. The line was about a block long and it moved quickly. There were volunteers along the way to make sure people were shepherded into the correct queue inside my elementary-school polling place. The only negative in the experience was that the refreshments stand set up alongside the line sold coffee that must be described as swill. The results of this election, if we are lucky, will not be swill but swell.
