Since I am a big fan of anything having to do with Tim Gunn of “Project Runway,” I couldn’t resist giving a shout-out to this charity event, sponsored by GMHC in New York, that Gunn is emceeing on November 10. According to the promotional materials, sent to me by, the organization’s Krishna Stone, “GMHC launched Fashion Forward in 2007 to salute the fashion industry’s longstanding commitment to fighting HIV and AIDS. (Click here for info and tickets.)This high-profile event will include a cocktail reception, live and silent auction followed by a runway fashion show featuring some of today’s most talented designers. We are expecting an audience of 500 guests, which will be comprised of leaders of the fashion community, socialites, corporate donors, retailers and media alike. This year, GMHC will present six brilliant designers and Tim Gunn will reprise his role as Master of Ceremonies.”
