“Watchmen” Not A Dud After All
The upcoming movie “Watchmen,” based on a very popular graphic novel, has been plagued by lawsuits, leading to Internet speculation that the flick, starring Billy Crudup (pictured), is doomed. Well, guess what? There was a test screening last week in Portland, and the response was excellent. Purists will squawk that the ending has been altered, but the rest of us are psyched to see what looks to be a beautiful, exciting picture — to be released in the first half of ’09.
