“Hairspray” To Close; Harvey Returns
I can now confirm what I told you earlier this week: “Hairspray” will be closing on Broadway. Last performance will be January 18th. Harvey Fierstein (pictured), who originated the role of Edna onstage, will return to play the end of the run. This is sad news — but a six-and-a-half year go on Broadway is very impressive!
