“SNL” Goes For The Gold
Set your Tivo, your DVR, or, better yet, host a viewing party! Tomorrow’s “Saturday Night Live,” the season premiere, will feature Michael Phelps, Lil Wayne, and Barack Obama. And, undoubtedly, Tina Fey (or, if she chickens out, Kristen Wiig) as Sarah Palin. Woo-hoo! Addendum: Obama, bowing to Hurricane Ike, didn’t appear; Phelps had a deer-in-headlights expression in most of his skits; and Fey (Palin) and Amy Poehler (Hillary) did their sister act. Fey looked eerily right, but she — like most comedians and pundits with the exception of Bill Maher — are too timid: too afraid to be appropriately mean to the Alaska governor.
