Awards Buzz for Anne Hathaway
She lit up “The Devil Wears Prada,” but Anne Hathaway (pictured), as a recovering drug addict in “Rachel Getting Married,” has lit up the Venice Film Festival. Directed by Jonathan Demme, who hasn’t made a good movie in what feels like centuries, “Rachel” looks like a winner. At the moment, Hathaway’s Best Actress Oscar competition looks to be Angelina Jolie in “The Changeling,” Sally Hawkins in “Happy-Go-Lucky,” and Kate Winslet in “The Reader.”
