Don’t Bow To “The Duchess”
“The Duchess” — this month’s feature-film version of the life of the 18th-century aristocrat Georgiana Spencer Cavendish — is tailor made for magazine covers. (Its star, Keira Knightley, pictured, currently graces the cover of Vogue.) But whether the picture is made for audiences is another question. This early review, from Variety, says: probably not.
