Hugh, Nic Get Busy “Down Under”
I have an interest in 19th-century history, and I like a ripping epic, but I wonder how many Americans share my enthusiasms: in other words, will anyone go see the movie “Australia” when it is released on November 14? Will an advertising campaign that ups the sex factor between stars Hugh Jackman (who plays a tough Aussie cowboy) and Nicole Kidman (who plays a prim Englishwoman) help overcome Americans’ resistance to this material? Are there enough folks out there for whom a campaign based on a bodice-ripper-book-cover pose is enough?
