Where The Livin’ Is Easy
I’m in South Dakota this week, visiting family, and I must say it’s a great pleasure to be in a place where the only theater is a community production of “Annie Get Your Gun,” where “Hancock” is not burning up the box office, and where not a single person around me at this moment in a Wi-Fi’ed Burger King has heard, let alone cares about, The New Yorker’s new cover of Barack and Michelle Obama. In other words, it’s Irving Berlin thumbs up and Will Smith thumbs down. What’s not to love?
