Bush Quip: One for the Ages
President Bush met with Filipino President Gloria Arroyo today at the White House. Trying for some levity (the Philippines was hit last week with a devastating typhoon, and the meeting was expected to be serious), Bush said, “I am reminded of the great talent of the — of our Philippine-Americans when I eat dinner at the White House.” And later I’m sure he told President Arroyo that Filipinos make such good nurses, too!
