“They Wouldn’t Do This To Mom!”
Liza Minnelli just began her first British tour in more than 20 years. But she almost didn’t make it through customs. The Oscar-winning star arrived at Heathrow airport to discover that she did not have the requisite work permit. Travellers were confronted by the unusual sight of Miss Minnelli and her 19-strong entourage being held up at the front of the immigration queue. (Read more). When Liza finally did make it onto the stage in London last night, her voice was ragged and she could barely dance but she still received six ovations. (There will always be an England, I guess.)
