Knoxville, Posey: Waters’ Latest Fruits
Johnny Knoxville and Parker Posey (pictured) are attached to star in John Waters’ Christmas film “Fruitcake.” No, this is not yet another biopic about Truman Capote centering on his “Christmas Memory” boyhood. The Waters’ plot is officially under wraps but is said to center on the title character, a boy named after his favorite dessert. He runs away from home during the holidays after he and his parents are caught shoplifting meat, then meets up with a runway girl raised by two gay men and searching for her birth mother. It all sounds groovy enough, but Waters will never never never make a Christmas movie more wonderfully demented than “Female Trouble.”
