Opera superstar Luciano Pavarotti faked his aria at the opening of the Turin Winter Olympics, according to reports.
Too weak to sing at the 2006 event, he tricked a TV audience of millions with a resounding ‘virtual performance’ of his trademark aria Nessun Dorma, using careful lipsynching, video manipulation, and a compliant orchestra that pre-recorded its backing days earlier. Read more here.
