Bitchin’ It Up With Bette Davis
This weekend would have been Bette Davis’s 100th birthday. In honor of the occasion, critic Terrence Rafferty has just published an appreciation (of sorts: he has a lamentable blind spot about “Whatever Happened To Baby Jane?”); Turner Classic Movies is programming all sorts of Bette fare this month; and, last and probably least, Joan Collins has written a piece called “Bette Davis Taught Me To Be A Bitch.” Something tells me that Miss Collins knew perfectly well how to bitch it up before she met Miss Bette.
