Irons in the London Political Fire

I generally think of Jeremy Irons (pictured) in the same phrase as “high-class decadent” (“Reversal of Fortune,” “Brideshead Revisited,” “Dead Ringers“) so it’s a little alarming to see that he’s just opened, in London, in a play that’s more “high-class respectable.” He plays British Prime Minister Harold MacMillan, in Howard Brenton’s “Never So Good.” And the reviews for Irons have rarely been…so good.
