Mike Daisey has responded to my post about his monologue on the failure of theater in America. Here’s what he writes:

The essay and the show are both talking primarily about the failure of theater in America to provide stability for its artists — I’m well aware of the tattoo-and-piercing venues, as I have performed at most of them over the years, especially if they’re in the northwest.”
