Diva Las Vegas — It’s Cher!
I’m not sure what’s more alarming (or, if you love 60something touched-up blondes, more wonderful): the prospect of Hillary Clinton in the White House or Cher in Las Vegas. Unlike the former, the latter is officially happening: that’s right, the ex Mrs. Sonny is headed for the Strip. She’s got a very lucrative agreement with Caesars Palace hotel, until recently home to the over-singing of Celine Dion, for a series of more than 200 shows over the next three years. Cher’s first perf will be on May 6. Bob Mackie will be doing the costumes, which means that every sequin west of the Mississippi has just been snatched up.
