Stritch and Beckett??? Yep!

According to Variety

Elaine Stritch is set to join the cast of Brooklyn Academy of Music’s “Endgame,” with John Turturro and Alvin Epstein already announced as characters Hamm and Nagg, respectively. The actress, whose cabaret show “Elaine Stritch at Liberty” plays a sold-out run at the Cafe Carlyle through Saturday, will play the role of Nell in Samuel Beckett’s surreal drama.

Andrei Belgrader will direct the play, which bows April 30 at BAM’s Harvey Theater.

The posthumous hits keep on coming from Beckett, whose well-received “Happy Days,” starring Fiona Shaw, is playing at BAM, while New York Theater Workshop will end its run of “Beckett Shorts” on Sunday.
