New Play: It’s Christmas For “August”
I’m largely in agreement with today’s (mostly) rave reviews of the new Broadway play, “August: Osage County.” Yes, it’s long, and yes, some of playwright Tracy Letts’s stylistic tics can be annoying, but what characters! What ensemble acting! I covered the production this past summer, in Chicago, and here is my assessment from the Financial Times.
