A Good Grade for “Sweeney”
Variety has just posted the first significant review of the “Sweeney Todd” movie. It’s a positive notice, calling the film “satisfying” and “uniformly right.” It is not, however, what I would call a “money” review. The people I trust continue to be mostly thumbs-down about the picture. I’ll be filing my own response later this week.
